So another weekend has passed and another weekend of racing for some of our athletes at Absolute Tri.
On Saturday we had one of our juniors travel to Milton Keynes to race a 1500m BMC race and come back not only with the win in their heat but also a massive PB that ranks them 10th in the country over that distance and an English Schools Qualifying time.
Also on Saturday we had athletes from our University Performance Squad racing at the BUCs event in Wales. Some great performances again and some big improvements on last year which shows the great effort they have put in over the winter.
On Sunday we had a good number of our Academy athletes racing at Blenheim Triathlon in the youth, junior and Senior races. As always, with this type of racing and especially at this time of year when the athletes are in the middle of exams some mixed results but some great progress made by the athletes and I’m sure all will be taking some positives away.
We also had a coached athlete racing at Tallington Standard Distance Triathlon and having only been with us for a few weeks improved on all 3 disciplines from the same race last year. More to come but great progress so far.
This weekend will see another busy weekend of racing in Leeds and Stafford for the 70.3 races.
