I’m 19, originally from Chesterfield and now living in Nottingham whilst I study for a degree in Biology at the University of Nottingham. I first got involved with triathlon 6 years ago at an after school club and started off with a background in competitive swimming and athletics. This year has been the first that I’ve had a dedicated triathlon coach and trained with a club and it has made a massive difference to my performances. Through the university’s partnership with Absolute Tri I have been able to work with Steve Lloyd who has had a huge influence on my improvements this year. I have had the opportunity to train with Absolute Tri at a number of high quality sessions per week as well as having one-to-one meetings with Steve about training, racing, nutrition and my long term goals.
My best results this year have been 4th at the European Sprint Distance Duathlon Championships and qualifying for the 2017 European Championships for both Duathlon and Triathlon thanks to good results at Clumber Park Duathlon and Nottingham Triathlon. My long term goal is to become age group world champion in triathlon and if anyone can help me get there then Steve can!
