For a 3rd year in a row we are teaming up with our partners based in Morzine, 44South, to support us on our Junior / Family summer camps.
Having looked after us for the past three years, with last year also including some Belgium Elite Junior and U23 athletes, 44South are more than used to feeding hungry young athletes who certainly eat more than your average teenager. Most of the rooms in the accommodation are en-suite so comfort will not be an issue.
The accommodation is extremely central for all our training facilities. The pool is a five minute walk from the accommodation, the lake is only 3 to 4 km away so very easy to cycle or run to and from. The river, at a mere 200m from the accommodation, provides some excellent off road running and we have access to some flatter areas for drills and technical work. The cycling is also second to none with the area being home to a number of climbs in the Tour De France (in 2016 the penultimate stage finishes in Morzine) so the area is the perfect training venue.
We hope to have our Team physio, Mike Whitehead, coming for at least part, if not all of the trip, to provide on hand help and advice for any little niggles. He will also to help ensure that all athletes are correctly carrying out the conditioning exercises we include.
The dates for next year are below and you can pick either 7 or 14 day options. The costs include accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner (each week the staff will have one day off from cooking the evening meal) as well as all coaching costs and facility costs. Additional costs are as follows: the transport to get to Morzine (fly or drive), getting the bikes there although we may have a solution to this and will advise those who need this additional cost nearer the time.
Saturday 6th August until Saturday 13th August – £525
Saturday 13th August until Saturday 20th August – £525 per person
Saturday 6th August until Saturday 20th August – £975 per person
Remember this camp is as much for the family as it is for athletes and the training plan is a guideline to what training people can do if they want to. If as a family you feel you want to spend the day together then this is no problem. The area is superb for a number of activities such as lazing around the large pool complex, horse riding, walking, and many other activities or you can simply wonder around the lovely town of Morzine and have a relaxing lunch in the sun. Remember this is as much your holiday as it is a training camp for you and your family member so it is important to us you enjoy your time with us.
We will offer a reduced rate for non-training holiday makers who want to join us whether that be family members or partners.
We look forward to seeing you in 2016 and please feel free to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
