Looking for a Coach

With so many new Triathlon Coaches cropping up it can be difficult to know which one to choose. Most of them seem to offer the same type of thing, on-line packages to cover all distances from Sprint to Ironman.

At Absolute Tri one of the things we pride ourselves on and believe we are different to most coaches is the amount of physical coaching we do on a weekly basis. This means being on poolside with real athletes helping them develop their swim through observation and correction. It means being on run and cycle tracks in all weather, working with athletes to improve thier bike and run skills. It doesn’t stop there, we also spend time running with them, cycling with them, putting them through there paces in parks doing hill reps and other mad stuff, all this so that we can not only develop the athletes skills but to also get to know them and understand them better so that the program we give them can be improved.

It also means spending our weekends watching athletes race whenever we can to see how all the hard work is paying off and being there to share in the good and bad days.

On a weekly basis, myself and Julie, my other coach spend around 35 to 40 hours per week coaching athletes either in groups or 1-2-1. This doesn’t include the time we spend with them review plans, sorting their race calendar. This means that we have a vast level experience of coaching and it is growing every single week.

Even if you don’t live in Nottingham where we are based we still insist that we see you as often as possible so we can have the same impact on every athlete and this can be different for every athlete but what you can be assured of is that you are working with coaches that are actually coaching, week in and week out.

We look forward to working with you soon
