Future Training Camps

Spain Training Camp – February 2019

Adult Camp – Dates – Saturday 9th February 2019 (option of longer than 7 days if required)

Junior Camp – Dates – Friday 15th February 2019 (options of 7 to 10 days)

Absolute Tri Coaching are delighted to offer another training camp in Spain, Aquillas in February 2019 in the stunning Hotel of Puerto Juan Montiel https://www.hotelpuertojuanmontiel.com/en/

Accommodation for this spring camp is half board, and on two people sharing although single occupancy is available at an additional cost. The hotel is close to all main routes for cycling and also very close to the beach for some excellent early season open water sea swimming. Transfers to and from the hotel are included in the price.

A full itinerary for the week will be sent our nearer the camp but it will follow a similar theme to what we have found popular in the past:

  • · 2 – 3 open water swims in the sea (wetsuit ideal)
  • 3 to 4 pool swims to focus on technique and swim analysis
  • Bike ride most days between 2 and 6 hours, although do not worry you will not be expected to ride for 6 hours if you are not at that level or only racing sprint distance. The longer rides are for athletes focusing on long distance racing and the good weather will make it perfect to get some long miles in.
  • 2 to 4 runs – encompassing a mixture of technique, interval and long steady runs. We will also use the beach to work on specific technique and drills to improve running form. These will be tailored specific to the needs of the athlete.
  • Daily Strength and conditioning, core work and stretching to compliment the training you have done.

The weather is normally good at this time of year therefore this is an ideal camp to get some sunshine on your back as well as training in some idyllic areas with some beautiful scenery.

Flights are not included in the price. However if you would like to contact us we will let you know which flights we recommend.

Please email either Steve for more information and how to pay your deposit and arrange a monthly payment plan.

Prive for the camp excluding flights but including half board accommodation, transfers, coaching and all facilities will be £595 per person (for 7 days)

Morzine 2019

We are delighted to advise that for the 7th year running Absolute Tri will be heading back to Morzine to run a number of camps over the summer of 2109. Final dates need to be confirmed but the camp focus will be as follows

Venue: Morzine, France

Hosts: 44South

Dates: June 2019

This camp will have a focus on age group athletes and although anyone is welcome we will aim to make it a specific camp for anyone doing longer distance racing in July or beyond as this will give their training a nice boost before the race. Shorter distance athletes are of course welcome as we will have enough coaches and support staff on site to help run appropriate sessions for everyone.

Saturday 10th August 2019 – Youth and Junior Camp

Absolute tri Junior athlete week and other youth and juniors looking to train with like minded athletes. As per previous years the athletes will be coming without parents with a mindset to lay down a good block of training ready for any end of season races and also to enjoy the experience of training in the French Alps on Tour De France climbs.

Saturday 17th August 2019 – Family Camp

This is a wonderful opportunities for families to come on holiday together and for either everyone to train or for different members of the family to train on different days whilst the rest of the family is having fun doing ‘normal holiday’ type stuff in a wonderful area of France.

All juniors must be accompanied by an adult, however, that does not necessarily mean their direct parent. Two athletes from separate families may train with us so long as they have one responsible adult with them.

All juniors must be accompanied by an adult, however, that does not necessarily mean their direct parent. Two athletes from separate families may train with us so long as they have one responsible adult with them.

This camp is not exclusive for families alone, we are also able to cater for all age-group athletes who may wish to train with us. We had such a wonderful time last year in the French Alps with our superb hosts; 44South. The location is stunning, the food is quite simply amazing and the training is adapted for every athlete and every need. It’s not just about training and you don’t have to train everyday, it’s entirely unto each person / family. With the camp taking place in such a beautiful place and with so much to do outside of training such as ice-skating, tobogganing, mountain biking, shopping, sunbathing, lake swimming walking and much more. Basically you can have a wonderful holiday and ride you bike in the process!

Final pricing needs to be confirmed but based on 2018 prices will look something like.

Cost per adult will be £645 and includes 6 evening meal with wine and beer, 3 lunches and all coaching

Cost per juniors aged 12 and above £545 for 3 lunches, 6 evening meals and all coaching;
Cost per junior aged under 12 years of age accompanied with an adult: £495 to include the 3 lunches, 6 evening meals and all coaching.
The prices do not include bike transfers, flights or airport transfers. Although these will be discussed and organised with those coming nearer the time.

If you are interested, please feel free to chat to Steve and he will advise you on how to secure your place. Places are limited to enable us to deliver quality coaching as well as ensure you have a first class holiday with your family.

We look forward to hearing from you if you are interested.
