Another busy weekend of racing for some of our Absolute Tri athletes. We had juniors racing in the East and West Midlands with great success across the board.
In the West Midlands we had a 1st and 2nd for our TS3 boys (Solomon and Elliot) which proved to be a great race and for 1 athlete that has been with us since they were 8 was a first time not only on the podium but on the top step. Here are some words from a proud and dedicated parent and sums up what we are about at Absolute Tri.
‘5 years of training with #absolutetriand Solomon finally gets onto a podium at triathlon. 1st place and a very happy boy. Well done to his team mate Elliot who came a very close 2nd. It’s great to see these two friends pushing each other all the way😊Thank you Steve Lloydall the hard work paid off today.’
In the East Midlands Series race we had the following athletes make the podium but we had loads more putting in great performances and also a good few doing their first triathlon so well done all.
Youth Female – Molly Smyth- 3rd
TS3 Boys – Oscar Hall – 2nd
TS2 Boys – Jasper Adamson – 1st
TS1 Boys – Will Brown 2nd
Tristart Boys – Gregory Read 1st
We also had 2 Senior athletes racing in Cardiff for the Senior Elite British Championships. Great racing across both races and some quality athletes in the field say Jimmy Kershaw get 6thspot and Nixie Turner get 26thspot.
Some of our Senior athletes were having a break from racing this weekend but still managed to do various distances on the Great Notts Bike ride in fantastic weather and also the annual Coast to Coast event on Saturday.
Overall a great weekend of racing and training with friend. Time for a breather before next weekend’s racing.
