Iona Miller

Iona also joined us from Loughborough , after being part of LTPC for five years, in November 2023. She has settled quickly into the team and enjoys the positive environment It brings. Iona had a very successful winter with absolute tri, she completed a 3 week race in Poland, she got a 6th and a 7th, which she was happy with. Iona has progressed and sets herself goals within triathlon.

Libby Coleman – aged 23

Libby joined absolute Tri in 2019 after coming from Loughborough. Libby has qualified for the Europeans, which was a huge success for her, and is resilient within triathlon. Her future goals are to join the Olympics and motivation from surrounding members, will help her achieve this goal.

Solomon Okrafo-Smart

Solomon joined absolute tri in 2014 when he was only 9 or 10 years old. A session was ran in his village, cot grave which encouraged him to join, now, years later, he has qualified for junior world, and recently the under 23 championship, which was a big goal for him. He enjoys the structure triathlon brings to his life and he is determined to achieve his future goals within the world of triathlon.

Simon Davis

Simon joined us in 2020 when he started at university of Nottingham, due to conversations with the main coach Steve. Simon enjoys the range of people the team brings, and is motivated by seeing his amount of progression. Simon is currently aspiring for a pro license, and he gained a 2nd place at under 23 European duathlon champs in 2023. Simon has managed to improve his running since being part of absolute tri, and has developed mental toughness through the training set out for him.

Josh Geary

Josh joined Absolute tri, September 2023 when he joined University of Nottingham. He enjoys the squad because it’s small so everybody gets along. Josh is motivated by watching other Athletes do well as he know he can also reach that that point. His best accomplishment so far has been having a really good race at BUCS triathlon, which has encouraged him to work hard as he has now gained more confidence with his training.

Chris Perham

Chris is a pro triathlete, who joined Absolute tri in October 2022/23 He wanted a fresh start, with new training to push him to do better. He enjoys that no matter what your race goal is, or skill level, everyone gains something from the training at absolute tri, and everyone can do that together. For Chris, his best success has been going to the European senior sprint champs and gaining 16th place at the European champs. He also had four British podiums and won the overall British series. Chris has adapted to new training plans which has helped him improve with his 10k running.

Finn Arentz

Finn joined absolute tri in October 2023 after training with a squad in Loughborough. He was then swimming back where he lives in Wales and through another athlete he heard about absolute tri and he wanted to join to improve his swimming by joining another squad. He has completed Iron man Texas and had a solid race there. Through joining absolute tri Finn has managed to become stronger with his swimming and the motivation from others around has really helped.

Benard Burnham

Ben Joined Absolute tri in 2021 through another athlete, libby Coleman. He loves that everyone in absolute tri are so close because they get to have fun alongside working hard for their goals. For Ben, his goals are that he wants to perform in championships and travel the world. So far his best performance has been his first Olympic distance in Madrid that turned into a duathlon and he managed to hold his position near the front the whole time and finish 6th.

Oliver Conway

Oliver chose to move to absolute tri in 2023 because the good coaching from Steve drove him to join University of Nottingham. He enjoys the good atmosphere the squad brings and aspires to be the best athlete he can be. For Oliver his highlights have been the Euro trials in 2023 and a good race he had in Malory which allowed him to qualify for European youth championships.

Antonia Jubb

Antonia chose to join absolute tri in 2023 after being coached by Steve since 2021 through the next gen squad. Antonias best race was Llanelli but she also does very well in the Tuesday speed run sessions set. She also wishes to get into the WTCS circuit, and the 2028 olympics if possible. Antonia is motivated, by not only the other athletes around her, but also the good support from the coaching. Through absolute tri, Antonia has become a lot more determined as she gets to see people older than her get into teams and win races.

Oliver Mill

Oliver started at Absolute triathlon in September 2022 due to being at University in Nottingham. Olivers best success has been winning an ETU junior cup in Riga, but his goal for the future is to try and make it as a professional. In the world of triathlon, Oliver has grown a lot in the few years of being in the squad, which is developed also through being surrounded by like minded people and other athletes who try hard.

Ollie Horne

Ollie started with Absolute tri in 2023 and joined University of Nottingham to be able to train with the team. He had a taster training day and that managed to encourage him join the squad, which now inspires him due to the amount of skill from others.
